Windows 10 Updates

it's a service - so, turn off the daemon [service] and update manually, when you think you need to. Was a big issue with trading desks in the beginning, so nobody wants W10 there. The solution is simple, though

I have disabled that one part of the update, I have task scheduled a reboot at an obscure time that I know the computer won't be in use to make sure the updates get finalized. If that doesn't work or if it automatically reverts, I'll try the other stuff.



For anyone following this, it appears that this has worked, for now.

Had to look something up at home just now, so I logged into the computer and there was a Win10 Update pop up sitting there waiting for me. No idea when it popped up, but there was no countdown to update clock.

We'll see how long before Microsoft catches up and automagically flips it back.
