Will a smaller oil filter increase oil pressure?

Just wondering if a smaller oil filter will increase oil pressure. I read it somewhere and was curious.

A properly operating oil filter has nothing to do with oil pressure, that is regulated by the oil pump.

Normally a filter will not effect pressure. There are some oil pumps where it can. The Titan V8 appears to have one such oil pump. It's not of conventional design.

If the filter is way undersized it can cause a restriction. Could it be enough to effect oil pressure? In my mind, not likely.

I do remember though that Smokey Yunik claimed that he gained horsepower from less restriction from running dual oil filters.
