Good morning folks,
I bought a Stihl FS40C curved shaft back in 2015. It has served us pretty good. I do need to clean the spark arrestor once in a while. My oldest son learned on it, then wife used it, & now our next son that just turned 12 yrs will be using it. My wife has been telling me to get her another weed eater, as a result, so she can continue working. What's a husband to do?
Go checkout the new Ace Hardware store that just opened up in a previous grocery store building.
They stock plenty of tools.
They had a row of weed eaters but naturally we gravitate towards the Stihl brand. Wife picked up a few different models. One being a FS 56 with bike handles, and then an FS91, but it wasn't the best deal IMO. The 91 having 28 cc engine at 12.8 lbs and FS 131 36 cc at the exact same 12.8 lbs. The 131 was $200 more bones but had 1/3 more power at the same weight!
Came with double shoulder straps and the wife approved.
$40 Pink colored ear protection
$629.99 FS131
$40 Motomix to get "extended warranty"
I got to use it first and let me tell you.. it has a lot more power to get the tall grass down much easier that that small FS40C.
Here's the old and new... I'm thrilled but still giving wife more time to see how she likes it.
