I was diagnosed with breast cancer in July, 09. I couldnt have handled it without the support of my wife and daughter. The glass is best regarded as half full. Confronting it head on helps too. I just finished with radiation . I have started Tamoxiphen therapy and have been back to work for 2 months.
I got a very agressive treatment, radical mastectomy, ACT chemo, radiation and now Tamoxiphen. I also am taking Citalopram which is a mild anti-depressant. Best wishes for you and your wife.
