Why won't Mobil 1 share NOACK %?

Quarterly profits up 49%. Why? Because they can!

Isn't NOACK limited by the API/ACEA and mfg specs that an oil meets? Another words, NOACK must be below a certain level to meet a given spec. No car manufacturer states in their owner's manual to use oil with NOACK of X%, hence the oil manufacturers aren't required to provide it.

Oil manufacturers are fairly selective on what specs they reveal. Castrol doesn't provide actual HTHS figures for example. I'm sure others choose not to provide yet some other spec...

He switched to M1 0w20 because of YOU and his engine blew up. Haven't heard from him since..

More than likely because it's not all that impressive in the common flavors, like 5w30.
Meets the API limit, which, IIRC is 15% for most common grades.
By how much it beats that limit is a guess, but I'd guess that if M1 were way below the NOACK limit, like 10% or less, they'd have it posted in their PDSs for all the world of BITOG to see.
