There's more ability to shop around now, and most people buy parts online, the stores mostly serve as hubs to service commercial accounts and the occasional person that's desperate for a part same day.

I was being sarcastic. I agree 100%, its all delivery to shops / dealers and last minute DIY and batteries.

You should go to mexico if you dare. A 5qt jug of basic Mobil 1 Full Synthetic is about $63 and Quaker State Full Synthetic is about $56 converted from pesos to usd. You can get both at Walmart here in the states for under $22. A 5qt jug of some odd store brand conventional thats api sm/sn rated at best is around $27. Generic brand api CF and or SL rated sae 40 is still about 2.50-4 bucks a quart.

I have found some very good oil deals on RA but the thing that killed it was the cost of shipping!

There mobile super is sound $2.25 a quart plus shipping. Not really that expensive
