Why is oil on RockAuto so expensive?

There's more ability to shop around now, and most people buy parts online, the stores mostly serve as hubs to service commercial accounts and the occasional person that's desperate for a part same day.

I was being sarcastic. I agree 100%, its all delivery to shops / dealers and last minute DIY and batteries.

You should go to mexico if you dare. A 5qt jug of basic mobile 1 full syn is about $63 and QSFS is about $56 converted from pesos to usd. You can get both at Walmart here in the states for under $22. A 5qt jug of some odd store brand conventional thats api sm/sn rated at best is around $27. Generic brand api CF and or SL rated sae 40 is still about 2.50-4 bucks a quart.

I have found some very good oil deals on RA but the thing that killed it was the cost of shipping!

There mobile super is sound $2.25 a quart plus shipping. Not really that expensive
