Why Extended Drain Intervals Are A Bad Idea

This is the fourth OCI of approx. 9500-10,000 miles. My wife and I are both retired and drive a lot of short trip miles interspersed with occasional long drives on interstate highways. I don't see any problems on the horizon. I intend to drive this car another 5 years or so, using the same OCI and oil. If I can remember(somewhat iffy at my age), I will post when it blows the engine before we trade it.
