What vehicle - 2007 Honda Civic EX
Manual states - Always use a premium-grade detergent oil displaying the API Certification Seal. It is highly reccomended that you use Honda Motor Oil in your vehicle for optimum engine protection. Honda Motor Oil is the preferred 5W-20 lubricant for your vehicle. 5W-20 oil is formulated for year-round protection of your vehicle, to improve cold weather starting and fuel economy. You may use a synthetic motor oil if it meets the same requirements given for a conventional motor oil. You must follow the oil and filter change intervals shown on the information display. Your vehicle does not require any oil additives. Additives may adversely affect the engine or transmission performance and durability.

I drive pretty easy most of the time but occasionaly fast. I also use this car for my job delivering pizzas and usually go around 80 to 110 miles in a day. Stopping at houses to deliver and stop and go traffic quite often. The car usually stays warmed up while I am working.
In my other car I've been using either Mobil 1 or Castrol GTX in this car I would like to maybe try the Castrol EDGE as long as no one here objects, for filters I usually have gotten the Purolator filter from autozone but I have been hearing that the Napa Gold filter is a Wix filter and that I should look into that. Right now I think that is the filter I would like to try to use on the Civic. Overall I want to keep using only full synthetic oil though. Not sure about oil change intervals. Honda manual says follow the oil life gauge ont he dash. I can't find a milage or monthly interval in the manual anywhere. I usually go for 7k to 10k miles on my 204 Chevy Malibu Classic but I would probably like to hcange more often on the Civic to keep it in better shape. I was thinking maybe 4k or maybe 6k or should I jsut follow the oil life mmonitor. The monitor doesn't actually sense the oil it just keeps track of driving habits and RPMs and stuff like that.
