I resemble that remark....You mean like the crazy uncle??
Subjectively speaking
Yes, "kids these days" are the route of all problems. It's the same in politics and everywhere else. It's getting worse, because today kids in school are taught far less history, (which is fact based), and far more ideology, (which is not).
And when a older, supposed educated individual, (read teacher), starts selling it to them, they accept it as fact. And in many high ranking colleges today you are punished if you don't, (reduced grades). And in several countries even killed by the millions.... Again, fact based history proves this.
Call me crazy, but if something is so wonderful that you have to incarcerate or kill the person if they don't believe in it, something might just be, "a little off".
Not at all. The idiots "educating" them are.Yes, "kids these days" are the route of all problems.......
Just watch TV British TV in particular and it is easy to blame….someoneNot at all. The idiots "educating" them are.
Are you an educator? Do you actually know how it works? Do you have a copy of your districts curriculum for all subjects? Not at all. The idiots "educating" them are.
'Tis easier to fool a person than convince them they've been fooled. See also: 2020The more one invests into some decision, the more they feel a need to continue that path, lest they be found wrong. Hard to admit to error, especially the more invested they are, as it means they spent more time money effort into the wrong thing.
And sometimes the alternative is too damaging. If one agrees that smoking kills, yet still smokes, then they have a problem. But if they could somehow come up with an argument that says smoking doesn't kill, then they are just fine with their actions. No need to deal with quitting. [Poor analogy but it's off the top of my head. People usually do not care for change.]
No. Not how it works.A good example of this is the PTA, (Parent Teacher Association). 50 years ago it was a relatively large, integral part of the educational system in most parts of this country. PTA meetings were everywhere, and all the time. Today it is nothing but a shell of its former self.
And back then it was the teachers themselves that were the driving force behind its implementation and success. Because teachers valued parental input into the education system. They basically wanted to hear what the parents had to say as far as educating their kids.
Today these "teachers" don't even want the parents informed if the kid wants to change his / her / its gender at 8 years old. Today if a parent shows up at a Board Of Education meeting, they'll be lucky if their mike doesn't get cut, or worse be forcibly removed from the building, if they happen to oppose any of the sewerage they're pumping into today's classrooms.
And then there are the parents themselves. They're far from blameless. How many today actually give a hoot in hell what goes on in their kids classroom? When I was in K-8, twice a year my parents went to the school and had a sit down with my teacher. My actions, abilities, and progress, along with any disciplinary issues were discussed one on one.
Do you think that happens today? We have kids today "graduating" out of high school dumber than stumps. They are ignorant of basic knowledge questions that I would have never gotten out of the 6th grade not knowing. That's not because we're improving.
The British today are pretty much responsible for their own demise. Just look at what's been happening over there in just the past few weeks. They let their mass immigration get so out of hand over the years, the fire departments over there are getting a good workout, and plenty of overtime.Just watch TV British TV in particular and it is easy to blame….someone
Read my post. I'm saying that's how it used to work. What's happening now is obviously not worth bragging about. We're seeing the results in the end product.No. Not how it works.
Yes, I read what you wrote. Your blaming the teacher and the schools. Teachers and schools do not control the curriculum the school boards and states do. My wife has been a teacher for almost 30 years and its been that way at least that long - really much longer.Read my post. I'm saying that's how it used to work.
