why are coin service station compressors so bad?

Me too, I use bicycle pump if I need 2-3 PSI per wheel, and get some work out at the same time.

Yep, I gave up on gas station air machines a while back. My favorite machines are the one's at Sheetz since they have a digital readout but the lines are always long and people bust up the machines. I now just use a cheap made in China portable compressor I plug into the car socket. Little slower, but I can get a true reading right in the morning on my driveway when the tires are stone cold.

They spew water and are unreliable. This is the best one I've used quiet powerful with a long duty cycle.

Can anyone recommend a 120v compressor?

I have a cheap 12v one that I keep in my car for an emergency but when I'm just trying to add 5-7 psi, it takes quite a while.
