I was thinking the same thing as Louie, I see a lot of potential for liability on this. You are in an isolated area and have an emergency and soembody dies becuase the car has been disabled. Or car needs to move to unblock somebody else and it is disabled. Car dies in traffic and causes a pileup and somebody dies. I cant see GM shutting cars down with onstar due to huge potential liability issues.

I am concerned about the safety of others when "all knowing" others presume to deactivate a car with no knowledge of what may be going on around that car. Ninety-nine percent of the time, it will probably just be an annoyance for all concerned. But what about those nightmare cases where the disabled car blocks an ambulance's access, keeps a fire truck from getting through, etc. (well, I suppose most firetrucks can simply bulldoze most cars...).

brain implant to generate a pleasure stimulus whenever you pay your bills, and a feeling of impending doom if you're late. Now, people feel pain when they make a payment, because they just gave up some money, and they feel pleasure when they don't pay, since they still keep their money. This is likely the root cause of all lateness in rentals, loans, paychecks, contracts etc.
If the device would only work if the vehicle 's key was in the off position ,that would be alot safer.
I'd ask what a financially irresponsible person needs with a new vehicle anyway? ok that might be harsh, but hello, living check to check and financing a new car is just begging big brother to decide when your car should start! morals of the story? live within your means. stop giving big brother YOUR money for FREE and most importantly, stop feeding molech! hehe
It probably works like the DUI ignition interlocks...simply prevents the car from being started. If the car is already running and the driver doesn't blow when it tells him to or he blows and it detects alcohol, the DUI ignition interlocks blow the horn and flash the headlights but the engine continues to run.
