Almost a decade of BITOG and now I just got wondering.

Hey my car's running bad, I think I'll put some Gunk in my gas tank.

Do you want that grime off your engine block? Use Gunk cleaner!

But seriously what are they thinking? Anyone know the history?

lol.....nice thought

Yea.....let's clean an engine with "gunk"....

And yea.....the brand keeps expanding.....bug wash solution, Engine Degreaser, a "Heavy Duty" Engine Degreaser, and then their latest "Shine" Engine Degreaser......hehe.

This makes it more confusing.

As the story goes, the developer of Engine Brite was a motorcycle enthusiast who was asked by a fellow rider to “give me some of that gunk to grease my bike.” From then on, the product was referred to as Gunk.

He used degreaser to grease his bike?

What? You guys think that every food product with "Healthy" in the brand name is actually a healthy product? How about "Fresh"? How about "Natural" or "Heritage"? The words are just words - they mean NOTHING!

Gunk is just an easy to remember brand name. It stands for products that work just fine.
