BMW is another that comes to mind. For both symbolic and practical reasons.
Unless their designers or marketers go completely mad (which can't be ruled out), Roundels with the blue and white representing Bavaria will always have a place on their vehicles. For corporate purposes, they've altered the logo over the years, but that has not been carried over to the vehicles, except for a show car or two.
(numerology trivia -- this is my #2002 post)
Porsche's crest is so central to the company, they'll give you the privilege of paying them even more money if your desire is to have full-colored versions applied to certain areas of their cars. LOL.
But in terms of the latest trend of spelling out brand names instead of logos (i.e. - Lexus, Honda), Porsche doesn't qualify, since that's something they've long practiced.
Mercedes has also been more liberal in the use of applying long names, not just the iconic three-pointed star. They love the star so much, they've gone Lamborghini and made it a saturated design theme.
Some brands have the desire, or need to reinvent themselves, or just be trendy.
Some don't.
