I feel very lucky my wife(8 months pregnant) purchased this very car brand new for $24k with 5 speed manual(critical for her) as her mommy mobile. The car has been pure bliss and Honda like reliability thus far with 132,000 miles.

You just can't buy a practical, simple and fun to drive car like the Legacy GT wagon anymore. Even the interior took a nosedive beyond sheet metal in the next generation.

That very car is on my short list of cars should I ever be in the market for a used car again. I like my Civic for reliability and gas mileage but I would really love a hatch or wagon and I'm debating making a move again soon.

The Subaru needed head gaskets at less than 85,000 miles. I maintained the car by the book - coolant changed every 30k. Added Subaru "coolant conditioner" every time.

For me, Ford replaces Subaru.

you fixed a known issue that costs around $1200 by spending north of $25-30k on a truck that gets 2/3rds the gas mileage? great thinking bud.
