I misplaced my 17mm socket...and hopefully it's in the garage It was a custom Fiberglass CORE socket, and thin.

I have used the SO Deep Impact and it's good stuff...

I picked up a 17mm SOFT SOCKET made by Sir Tools. Not sure if it's made in USA or not....$30'ish for the socket.

Finish, maching was okay. Still some rough spots on the inside. It was 3.5 deep, which is .25" deeper than my SO socket. However, even though it was listed as thin walled, the socket was too *fat* to use on my 2K $$$ wheels.

It would fit the clearance hole with too much fudging and definitely would touched/scratched the outer lug holes when you started to crank on the socket ....

Just posting this for those out may know .....of a even better/best THINWALL socket on the market - 17mm and 19mm in size.

Right now, the SO Deep Impact thinwall (3.25") is the winner in my tool chest.

I would like one slightly longer as some of my wheels lugs sit deep in the holes...

I've got a Gorilla 17mm thin wall socket that's about 3" deep. I can't compare it to anything else as that's the only one I've got, but I've had no problems with it over the past 8 years that I've used it.
