This is how I understand it: Motorcraft contracts its "non-dealership" filters from Purolator, AC-Delco gets its mass market filters from Champion Labs. Both seem to be consistently high quality filters.
Mopar, on the other hand, contracts for oil filters in batches, from the lowest bidder. That low bidder could be any of the major makers, including *ugh* Fram. See the mini-Mopar filter study.
Unless Mopar has changed things, the only thing you can count on consistently from their oil filters is the paint job & stenciling.
