Who makes Advance Auto Part oil?

They are very cheap so I want to know if I can run them for 4k OCI.

I believe it's made by Coastal, but I'm not positive on that. It's SM/GF-4 rated, so for 4k OCI, I don't see a problem running it.

I would run the WalMart SuperTech thats produced by WPP or Mobil (Not sure if your far enough North to get the Mobil)over that choice. I am not super enthused with Coastal or Warren Oil (Different Warren from WPP). However that said it should be fine for 4000 mi OCI. Any SM labeled oil should.

PS If you have Fred's Dollar Store around there you can get Formula Shell for $1.50 Qt and Havoline Filters (Rebranded Purolator) for $1.99.

I am in VA so there are all 4 seasons, which put a real test on oil.

Alberta Canada where -40F starts are common.

Go to a club and get oil there, a box of 12 quarts of formula shell at B Js was around $20, the 10w40 was on sale for $16 a box.

Safeway oil is exceeding gf-4 :S and I checked the cheap no name oil at the corner store..

I have seen Store Brand and No Name Motor Oil in SA, SJ, SL and SM in the last 30 days. None of the above (Except SM) carried GF-4.
