Tried to order OEM Motorcraft Brakes but the Warehouse was out and has no projected time for them to be back. What is another good Front rotor? I am not looking for a slotted rotor or a bargain rotor. I saw Wagner, Raybestos, and AC Delco with 4 left in stock in the $45-$55 range. Is one better than another in terms of resistance to warping?

Were you ordering Ford OEM or Motorcraft? They are not the same.

Any idea as to the country of origin on the "Genuine Ford" rotors? The original rotors on my Freestyle say "Bosch/Germany" on them, strangely enough. If I new the Ford rotors were these same ones, I'd buy them. I have 130K on the original rotors and I think I'll get one more set of pads out of them!

The finish on Raybestos rotors is really smooth almost like a mirror, and they also coat areas with anti rust coating on non friction area. The motorcraft rotors are just white box rotors with a better box, they really don't look any better or work any better than the cheapy ones. They sell the motorcraft ones down the street from me and have us use them on their own delivery vehicles (old used up taurus's)when they don't have the white box ones ( next lowest cost rotor to the parts store)and out of the box I see no difference.

I just put Raybestos's Advanced Technology pads and Rotors on my 2002 Taurus.
I used the Raybestos website to make sure I got everything I needed and ordered from Amazon. Since I have a Prime account I get free shipping, for 2 rotors and accessories that would be a bit much.
I ordered the Drag Reduction Clips from RockAuto. They all came on the same day.

The finish on the rotors was excellent and the paint all the rust prone areas as said before.

BTW, I shopped around and Amazon was the least expensive place that I could find them by far. I did my entire front end for around $160 excluding the brake cleaner and a tube of synthetic brake grease I bought for the job.

Centric 125 series are the best, if you can find them. Virtually no runout at all, from what I've seen.

Centric 120 series are decent. Their hats are also painted, but they do not advertise the high-carbon content.

I used Brembo rotors on the front axle of my dad's van when I did the pads and rotors on Sat, and I really like the smooth and shiny finish on there as opposed to the aggressive non-directional finishes that Centric and other manufacturers use. Brembos also advertise the high-carbon content, which is in-line with OE rotors. For some reason, the pads seated on the Brembo rotors much more quickly (i.e. rotors turned completely grey very quickly) versus rotors with aggressive non-directional finishes.

All of the rotors, even the Brembos, are made in China but I would not hesitate to use them.

The problem is that there are no rotor guaranties.
Cheap Chinese ones can be better than expensive name brand ones.
They sure can. Go take a look at your local auto parts stores.

You are smart to NOT get slotted, dimpled, etc., types.
