its only 1 dollar more, I just wonder which one is better. I will use it for where none synthetic is recomment.

BTW will I save moneys on valvoline gear oil , by buy napa gear oil ? cause i heard valvoline gear oil is same as napa gear oil, with few dollar cheaper if buy napa.

Durablend has a lower pour point, IIRC.
It is actually lower than Castrol's synthetic 75w90 that was in my Axiom previously to DB.
NAPA's oil is made by Ashland (Valvoline parent company), but it has a less robust additive package.

If you tow or go more than 30K/2 years between the differential lube changes, I'd step up to Durablend. For a buck extra, I would use Durablend, sleep better at night and go to 45K/3 years OCI.

If you do 30K/2 years and do not drag race/tow, etc, either NAPA or Valvoline dino will work.

If you go mudding and have to change oil frequentnly due to water intrusion, stick with NAPA and save $$$.

I guess it depends on what you with your vehicle.

If synthetic is not recommended, go with Valvoline, stick to your 30K/2y schedule.

BTW, who is a manufacturer of the RR differential?
There was a thread a while back discussing using synthetic gear oils despite manufacturer recommendations. Might want to search using manufacturer name to see what others are using in the same set up.

ty for rely all my answer. auburn is the manufactory for my rear diff, they do not recomment synthetic on their rear end.

PS if it is a limited slip, do not forget the LSD additive.

If it's an Auburn that's anything like mine, you have to use conventional 80w-90 in it along with GM or Ford Limited-Slip additive. Nothing else works.
