I have a 2013 Mazda CX-5 that requires 0w-20 synthetic. My normal commute consists of 3 miles of city driving followed by 47 miles of highway each way. I drive easy as I'm looking at fuel economy. I live in Wyoming at 6000+ feet in elevation and where it is possible to see -30 degree weather in winter. I change my oil currently at 7500 mile intervals.

0w-20 oil is not very common around here so I will probably buy online. Looking at Amsoil Signature Series, Eneos synthetic, Pennzoil Platinum, Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy, or Red Line synthetic. If you know of one that I didn't list that might be better, let me know about it.

Mobil 1 .
An BTW how far to the nearest Wal-Mart ? They usually have a good supply of Mobil 1 in all weights.

Well looks like I'll do Mobil 1 again since it seems to be preferred. According to Autozone.com it's not in stock but I can order it at least. Plus it appears they have a $10 off coupon for a 1 gallon jug or 5 qts.

I don't often agree with tig however in -30 temps Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0w20 is one of the thinnest 20 grades available so at start up the oil should flow and warm up pretty quickly.
Pennzoil platinum is also a thin 20 grade and a possible option if easily available. Beats ordering online

Is 0W-20 a must in your vehicle?

5W-20 or Mobil 1 0W-40, can they be used?

If so, they will run when it is cold.

If not, make a drive to some other Walmart, even if it's a long one, and stock up on 0W-20; get a big stash. Or why not order online? There are bound to be some decent oils that fit the bill.

I suppose your vehicle is under warranty.

0w-20 is recommended and says in the owners manual that 5w-20 can be used but must be replaced with 0w-20 at the next change.

Napa is here as well, though they are just like Autozone and would need to special order it.

There is a Honda/Toyota dealership here and I might check to see if they have any and at what price.

Antifreeze should be fine, I just bought the car in July though I have already put on a few hundred miles short of 15,000 miles.
