which oil is better

I have decided to use pennzoil in 2000 mazda protege.Now which grade to use here in toronto.The oil will be in there till end of june.Maybe I should mix in 1 liter of 10w30 dino or synthetic.I want to use regular dino juice.Why do bottles of oil have 946 ml.instead of a full liter,only castrol has 1 liter bottles?please help

I'd say use the grade that your owner's manual recommends, which is probably 5w30.

The 946ml bottles are probably 1 quart U.S. bottles. We haven't gone metric down here--yet.

Yup...they're re-labelled quart bottles. I just haven't figured out if the bottles that say "1L" are also only 946 mL or the full L. Who will/can check? Now the 4 and 5L jugs...that's a different story...
