Merk, you're an enormous chicken. You stick with a 30 grade, yet don't bother for the benefit of a 5w-30, particularly in a synthetic. You talk thick oils, but you didn't step up to a 5w-40 or 0w-40, either. Tsk, tsk.

OP is in Clovis,CA - lowest recorded temp in history is 17F - he'll be fine w 10W-30 SuperTech. The ST should clear up some of that varnish he's getting with the MS5K.

Of course, he'll be fine. He'd also be fine with SAE 30, SAE 40, 20w-20, 15w-40, 10w-60, 20w-50, 5w-30, or 0w-30, and whatever else I missed. He still chickened out, feathers and all.
But yes, he can work on the varnish that must be building up ever so quietly.
