Going through this list of Dallas, TX top ten rated BBQ restaurants-- most every name triggers a desire to try their Texas BBQ.

Which of these BBQ restaurants would you want to try first based only on its name?

I'll pick "Baby Back Shak"--- not an easy decision.

Kudos to the state of Texas and its love and promotion of BBQ- of course it is well known that all Texas BBQ recipes were originally stolen from Kansas City....

I remember when the original Hutchins in McKinney was just a regular BBQ spot without crazy lines and “craft” in front of the BBQ. They used to have all you can eat fried catfish on Friday nights and it was so good. I love BBQ, but the Texas Craft phase is getting really old and EXPENSIVE! I can smoke ribs, brisket, Texas Twinkie's, and pork at home that is honestly just as good and a lot cheaper!

The Hutchins in Frisco used to be in an old train caboose. When Randy White’s BBQ took a dump, Hutchins moved into that location. They had AYCE for $15.95 back in 2015 (see pic). Nowadays, $15.95 gets you almost a 1/2lb of brisket at Hutchins. 😭

Lockhart TX is regarded as the BBQ Capital of Texas

https://www.lockhart-tx.org/page/visitors_bbq

That's not just advertising, most Texans would agree. Even the Texas Legislature, first the House of Representatives in the Spring of 1999, then again in the Fall of 2003, passed a resolution proclaiming Lockhart to be The Barbecue Capital of Texas.

Its a real good list but not having even one BBQ from Lockhart diminishes it's validity.
