I'm replacing the transmission in a 2013 Versa that calls for NS3. Need about 8 quarts and not spending $16 a bottle at the dealer. My suppliers have Eneos N Plus for $10 as well as Idemitsu N3 and Aisin NS3 for about $11.50. Will probably get the cheaper Eneos, but any reason to get the others?

Do you want to maintain the tracer dye for warranty? otw castrol transmax is ns3 rated and
usually under 8 bucks a qt.
At what mileage did the unit fail? I recall the versa also having a 2 speed planetary along with the CVT so its a hybrid trans.

Also Suitable for use where: , Toyota CVT Fluid TC, Toyota CVT Fluid FE, Nissan CVT Fluid NS-1, Nissan CVT Fluid NS-2,
Nissan CVT Fluid NS-3, MMC DIAQUEEN ATF SP-III, MMC DIAQUEEN CVT Fluid J1, MMC DIAQUEEN CVT Fluid J4, MMCDIAQUEEN CVT Fluid J4+, Mazda CVTF 3320, Subaru i-CVT Fluid, Subaru i-CVT FG, Subaru Lineartronic High Torque Chain CVTF, Daihatsu AMMIX CVT Fluid DC, Daihatsu AMMIX CVT Fluid DFE , Suzuki CVT Fluid 3320, Suzuki CVT Fluid Green 1, Suzuki CVT Fluid Green 2, Suzuki CVTF TC, Suzuki NS-2, Honda HCF-2 *, Hyundai/Kia SP-III, Chrysler NS-2,Chrysler CVTF+4, Mini Cooper EZL799 , Ford CVT23, MB 236.20, all of Honda CVTs except 2001-2007 Model Honda Fit/Jazz which are equipped with Starting Clutch.

The tracer dye that is same as a factory fluid. From the fluid you WILL install.

I would respond that obviously the Factory spec oil didn't do it any favours!

Castrol knows what they are doing. Castrol are NOT Amalie or Sgt. Pepper

Are you required to use a specific fluid from the re-builder (or Nissan) to maintain a warranty?

I wouldn't loose that bene for a few dollars lost.

Is this a burger you are flipping?

From Eneos:

Warranty Information
ENEOS products are all API and SAE approved with the latest certifications. Using the
correct application of ENEOS product will not void your vehicle's factory warranty.

Where did you get the trans? Nissan dealer parts order or a REMAN?
It's THEIR warranty, you have to read what are THEIR requirements.

Actually more for the subsequent buyer than you :)

But a happy customer is a referring customer !

All I can tell you is I have used Valvoline and Castrol with excellent results.
This was on a well used '15 Altima strippie Hertz rental. Fluid was dark brown horrid upon 1st spill and fill at 80K.
Vehicle now has 140K trouble free miles. I have done 2 services, I believe. Will do another next oil change service...
I would use the Castrol stuff.

If you want something green, Cam2 and Transtar are green. Valvoline and Amalie are amber in color.

Castrol is red, which many people don't like, but there is nothing wrong with it.

Eneos CVT fluid is blue. And JK Nippon is very possibly the OEM fluid supplier if that Nissan was manufactured in Japan. I
believe that JK Nippon is the biggest oil company in Japan.

Picked it up today. Shiny.

Just checked my catalog. $1428 isn't bad at all. My local dealer even has one in-stock.

Does this one require programming after install? Some of them do and it requires Consult-III plus or Consult III plus R2R.

These do require the dealer only scanner right?

I'm planning on using valvoline with ours. Along with changing the external filter. I just need to get the time to do it.
