My daughter just bought a new Accord V-6 so I've got a little time to figure this out. Based on the near universal owner, dealer, auto and oil manufacturer recommendations to follow the maker's extended OCI as dictated by the "Maintenance Minder", I've pretty much decided to go with an "ultra oil" such as PU or M1EP. Problem is, neither comes in 0W-20. I do NOT want to give up the 0W as she will be parking this car outside in Indiana winters. I know that M1 has its AFE (which is just standard M1) but, if I'm really going to allow this vehicle to go to 10,000 mile OCIs, I want the best. I did read in Pennzoil's Q&A (great resource BTW--thank you BITOG)that they plan to introduce an 0W-20 Ultra sometime this year. If they do, I will use it (listening SOPUS?). I've also dropped this question on "Ask Mobile1". I guess I could use Honda brand while I wait but it is "only" a semi. Suggestions?
