I need to source a passenger side mirror for a 2003 Lexus ES300. My neighbor hit a mailbox and cracked the housing. The mirror is fine and works but the housing is crumbling.
Can I just get a new housing and keep the older mirror with wires and electric motor or do I need a whole new assembly? I see that just the mirror is sold on ebay, but can I get an empty painted assembly?
I know I should check ebay and local junk yards. Are there any websites that carry inventory of local wreckers?
Also, aftermarket mirrors are sold on ebay that are primed black. How much does a shop charge to paint the mirror if I bring it in? The car is pearl white.

Parts bought online from wrecking yards usually don't guarantee color match. Even if they're the same color they may have faded from sun, ect.
You'll probably have to buy the entire assembly.
