Looking to buy a replacement engine for a portable winch. It should have same rotation and size as a chainsaw but I would rather find a generic engine without the chainsaw handle and extras. Where to look? Have found lots of 4 stroke replacement engines for lawnmowers and stuff but nothing that would fit this one. A trimmer replacement with the correct rotation would be great, but where??
It is an old Techumseh that almost rattles inside. Must have been run without oil sometime.

Hi,

first place Id check, is either a Farm supply store, or try and find a dealer that repairs equiptment that uses Techumseh engine.

Thats too bad, theyre pretty tough motors.

You could look into having your current one rebuilt as well. I'd dig around and try and find a decent small engine shop first

Agreed! Get the serial number and then head to jackssmallengines.com (or other similar places) and order parts! Rebuilding a small engine can be a fun project.

Maybe a local small engine repair shop or dealer could be of assistance. Don't believe there are any Pep Boys or Harbor Freight in Sweden.

Didn't catch the Sweden detail! That being the case. eBay is your friend.
