no one local carries it by the gallon...found it on amazon for $20 plus $7 s/h...seems cheaper than buyin it at AAP for $9.99 a quart.

gimmelucas, gotlucas, and hodgson corporation have online stores.

A the local stores here, the profit margin for a quart($10) is steep. Gallons online can be delivered to your front door for less.

Pepboys/Advancedauto here used to have the gallons. Maybe they can order it but they usually only carry the smaller higher profit bottles(quarts and 5.25 ounce).

That's a pretty good price for a gallon shipped. If no one local carries it, just order it from amazon. The best price from what others have said is to buy it at highway truck stops such as Pilot.

Thanks guys...there's a truck stop off the thruway near exit 29a in NY....guess I'll check there.

I have heard somewhere here on bitog that UCL's build up varnish on the piston rings over time. Not an opinion, it's just something I have heard. Seems reasonable to me.

Varnish on piston rings is different than carbon deposits, even though the UCL keeps the carbon low.
Just my opinion

I too read a thread posted on the board about someone who was told about a motorcycle engine that had this issue but that is the only place I have read about it.

We have been using the product for quite a while in both our vehicle + the last vehicles we owned with good results.

Have a friend up north with over 100,000 miles on his engine and when he started using it, he noticed quite an improvement.
