I am a college student in need of 2010 or 2013 Microsoft Office. I currently have Openoffice and Microsoft office starter but the professor goes over Excel step by step in class. So I need the full version. Even the student version is about $100.

Someone on craigslist is selling it for $40, but i am suspicious of that. Where has the best price?

Thanks

That is about the best price you are going to get for a full version of Office. Anything lower and I wouldn't trust it to be a legal copy.

The student and teacher deal is probably about the best you'll find, unless your school has a subsidized version.

I'd check trough school or your parents' jobs. Large organizations that have a lot of office licenses often offer a home use copy for like $9.99.

There is another thread from maybe a few weeks ago where we discussed that program.

Does your college have an agreement with Microsoft? Many do.

Students at the college where I teach get Office and Windows for no additional charge. Check with your school's IT department before you spend a dime.

Buy from craigslist and make sure it license key included.

If it fails just call Microsoft and they believe you without any checking and can activiate your license.

If you, your family, or friends are militiary you can get it from the NEX or AAFES for $64 if I remember correctly.

Yeah, check with your college's IT dept or help desk. My kids got Office for about $15 at their colleges.

Check with colledge. I had IT major and used to get soft that would go for $50k retail for free. Also there has a glitch for several eastern european counties and Israel like a week ago when price was set to 5 in local currency for several hours(less then 1$) Search it. Maybe someone is willing to sell serial key for cheap.

Do this. There ought to be information on their website. You may be able to get a download for a price between free and a few dollars, or a few dollars more for discs.

If there isn't a program through IT, check with your college bookstore. They might have a lower price on the student/teacher version.

also try the office 365 subscription which is only 9.99/Monthly and you get all the office apps on your desktop and 20gigs of skydrive space a long with access to them from almost any windows 7 or 8 Pc, but you can also download them on up to 5 pc's. which is really nice and that is what I did.

Thanks for the replies. I called IT department of George Mason University and I was referred to our computer store which it sells 1 license for $99.99.
