Where do I find A5/B5 in Canada? (2019 Volvo)

It sounds like your engine is from the pre-VEA era (VEA is also known as Drive-E). The VEA platform engines came with the new 0W-20 spec requirements, including diesels.

Thats right our D5 is an old one from 2008. I looked at Volvo Sweden for the newer ones and they call for 0w20

It’s nothing to be scared of. Ours is a T6, so it has a supercharger and a turbo. I’m running the Volvo spec oil here in TX with no issues. 65,000 miles and it doesn’t burn a drop. I measure 6 liters out and put 6 liters back in.
