When will Amazon start charging "prime members" for shipping?

I use Amazon a fair bit, maybe makes a little more sense in my case as I live way out in the sticks. As long as an item isn't immediately needed, coming directly to my home is worth it in gas savings. For specialty items not available real close I gotta drive over an hour to a city of any size.

I have noticed delivery times are getting a little long though if it doesn't come from the warehouse in my state.

That’s fair, but I don’t think very many people buy prime for the tv, compared to other things.
