I went as far as to buy a Milwaukee kit for my Son-in-law for Christmas. 
None of my Milwaukees have let me down yet. Maybe that was my way of saying to him, "Don't let me down."
Happy to say that he hasn't.
I'll have to show this to my daughter, she's a huge Harry Potter fan. She'll get the humor of the "House loyalty" and the significance of my gift to her husband.

Milwaukee helps pay my bills, and feed my family! So far no problems other than a battery losing all of its cells (warranty covered).

These are my first cordless tools - they are wonderful.
The time savings in zipping off the bolts that secure a plastic splash guard are amazing to this Luddite.
When building my shed, it was wonderful to have both a drill and a powered screwdriver at the ready.

Never had issues with Ryobi, don't understand the hate towards them. All my Ryobi tools are workhorses and are responsible for many successful projects.
