When do you fill your gas tank?

Typically around 1/8th of a tank. On the truck, that's 4.5 gallons - still good for nearly 100 miles. The perks of a large gas tank... I don't stop for gas very often.

The cheap Cosco gas is one mile away. I'll wait until it's below 1/4, or anytime I'm passing by and need at least 1/2.

Depends on circumstances. When I'm just short tripping around town, I wait until the light comes on. There are plenty of gas stations close by. When I'm on a longer trip in an unfamiliar area, I usually fill up a bit sooner.

I get gas every Monday night. The prices around here go up on Tuesday morning just like clockwork with the lowest on Monday nights. My wife drives a fair bit so it is worth it.

I usually drain it to the empty light then drive whatever the current mileage is for another gallon and a half. On my Accent it's 75 miles and the Gen Coupe it's 50 miles past the low gas light. The Gen Coupe cuts boost when it comes on. :(

I usually stop when it ding's at 35 MTE unless I have to go to Boston. The lowest I've ever been in the Escape was 9 miles to E.

Normally around 1/4 tank. Have Redline Fuel System Cleaner in the Acura at the moment -- will run that to almost empty. Usually works out I fill it every Friday morning.

1/2
Anything less, and I've noticed a drastic difference in performance with my older cars.

1/8-1/4 tank, I don't see some advantage to filling at 1/2 tank. Am I missing something other than the gas station?
More atomization of the fuel in warm weather at lower tank levels.
Usually translates to rough idle, stumbling etc.

Wow. Sounds like a defect.
Really? You mean vaporization?? Poor design, or some misunderstanding.
No, there's many others who have observed the same on their older vehicles
Yes, that's what I meant. sorry I'm in a meeting atm.
