When did Halloween Change?

Halloween pretty much sucks these days if you're a kid. It's way too sanitized. Most parents take their kids somewhere like the mall, where the stores all give out candy. And the trick or treating starts at like 3:30. All the kids are done by the time it gets dark out.

Then again, I'm getting older, and I grew up in a small town where it was OK to let your kids roam on Halloween. I think we all look back with fondness on our formative years, and always decry "it's not the same!"

They still let 'em run free down here, but the nannies will likely soon put a stop to that. It's like all the 'needles in the candy' urban legends.

I just went to two public halloween adult parties (Fri and Sat), and there were hundreds of 20-something women dressed like in post #3. Helllllllll you guys are missing out if you don't go these.
