Wheel hub/bearing- life span?

You can't really put a number on it. My Blazers front driver side OEM bearing went bad and was replaced at 70k miles. Replaced it again at 135k. Replaced again at 185k. The passenger side front bearing was never replaced when I sold the vehicle with 250k miles.

Like many have said it a [censored] shoot really. Ive seen ones @200k fail ive seen ones at @20k fail. Important part many forget when installing replacement bearings, is cleaning the spindle surfaces and torquing a NEW spindle nut to factory spec. Many a replacement bearing lives a short life to a poor installation.

My 2002 Ranger has 203K miles on completely original wheel bearings. They have been repacked a few times, but that's it. The passenger side does faintly click when I turn the wheel/rotor off the ground, so I am planning on new bearings the next time I replace the rotors.
