My father gave me his old Wheel Horse tractor model C-111 that he does not use anymore it sat for many years it's in good shape he took good care of it. The motor ran great when it was put away but back then we were having issues with the carb and it could really use a new one. The motor is an 11 hp B&S does anyone know where I can find a new carb for this? According to B&S they no longer make this motor if the motor dies what can I replace it with?

My gramps has a Wheel Horse and has had it for about 40 years and has used it every summer for a 1+ acre yard. His though has a Kohler engine. The rings finally gave in a couple years ago and he'd have to fill the crank case with oil between the backyard and front yard. The neighborhood also looked like someone has a massive bonfire from the smoke. He finally purchased a new. He loves the tractor so much I was gonna buy him a rebuilt Kohler but they're more expensive than a cheap riding lawn mower. They're built like tanks. I would see if you could retro-fit a rebuilt Kohler on it or just have yours rebuilt.
I had a Wheel Horse Model 310-8 for 20 years before passing it on to my son. It only had a single cylinder Kohler 10 HP but it mowed well with a 38 inch deck and could plow a 340 foot driveway in PA. See if you can find a Wheel Horse tractor forum for advice on finding a carb. A place to start:

If your engine dies, there should be a variety of Kohler motors that you could find or rebuild that would fit. My opinion is that once Toro bought out the Wheel Horse brand in 1986, the tractor quality was never the same.

Try this outfit. Pricey, but they carry parts for my 1977 IH Cadet 80. It has a 11 HP B+S I/C flathead. The carb is very simple and probably used on any number of engines. Find the engine numbers and the p/ns for the carb. Google is your friend.

ditch that briggs and get a kohler k series motor in it.
