They only last a second until the real one finally occurs. Took 13 yrs for the 'real' one to catch up to me. Woke up on a guardrail, then did a 540 deg roll down a steep embankment. Now, never again.

Two events come to mind. It's 4 AM and the heater is on and I'm cruising down I-40, went to sleep and hit a guardrail damaging the driver's side but no human damage. Noticed the engine was not as smooth as usual, but I failed to check the plugs and drove 300 miles on 7 cylinders because of bridged plug electrodes in cylinder #3. I had never had a plug do that before.

I've done that before several times actually. I hardly go "downtown" so I can never seem to get it right. At least here, you have a block to correct yourself. Thankfully they are more side streets with low traffic flow.. This is assuming you don't cause a wreck either I guess.

Microsleeps are the worst. Used to have a job driving all day, tried a lot to prevent them, snacking, punching myself in the leg, they would still happen. I eventually got tired of it and got a new job. Much happier now not on the road all the time.

i had a chrysler 300 L 4,200 lbs. 360 hp 413, posi rear end. needed to test my tune up. but for got there was a small of water on the road. it swapped ends and ended in the ditch. only my ego hurt.
