What's the best Amsoil mix for my Volvo?

The advise from TooSlick is good, for another reason. Keeping the viscosity stread at 5w-30 vs 5w-40 is helpful in a turbo engine. Is possible that the 5w-30 ia more shear stable. I had a more extreme case when I tried 0w-40 in my 850 Turbo, going from San Diego to Phoenix in 120F+ weather, a trip I've made many time with a syntetic 5w-30. When tried with the M1 0w-40, the brain shut off the a/c because of a drop in oil pressure and a rise in oil temperature. A later uoa showed the oil sheared to a thin 20 weight. I put 5w-30 in for the return trip and had no more problems. I will not be using oil with a large spread, ever again in a turbo application. So in very hot weather driving at 80+, 5w-30 works great. And the comgination gas/diesel Amsoil would be a good choice.
