Yeah, it's an mfg error I believe ingrained in all the Taco's that I have seen. It's a burr on the end of the stick from an incomplete finishing or stamping process in their makings, you don't feel but a sharp spot and it snaggs the rag if not careful, and on everyone down in my parts seems to have the same burr... some mfg problem no one seems to rectify.

Here's my oil pic of my stick today I just hit
8,000 miles here at the house.

The bad news is I won't change it for another 1-2-3k and today it shows signs of needing to be changed as it has finally begin to degrade in that the oil on the stick fell from the stick to the card, very rapidly, almost immediately after pulling it from its holder, whereas it usually takes a lot of time for the oil to fell the drop to the paper.

It's doomed, well waddua expect with a 5w-30???

here is the pic:

Sorry it came out so blurry
it was dark and raining and cold
for two days and this was the best of them all

I did not want to ruin my camera

The milage here was 8K
I added 4-6 ounces after the pics
because it appeared in the rain it was low...

Appears after several checks later that there is now an overfill by several ounces...I think it was the parking spot... as it did act like that with my black truck and has been so amny miles since then in a no burner that I forgot about the parking spots...

Tomorrow or worst the weekend will be 10K
I try to remember to get a photo...

I'll also hunt for some sample bottles and see about sucking up a sample, and the level sould return to normal...

I think I'll see the oil in til 15-16K
I am not sure but that is what me thinks
at the moment.

Only one of them is mine, but I've been taking care of cars that aren't mine (family/friends) for quite some time so I will post everything that I am currently changing the oil on.

2002 Pontiac Grand AM (my daily driver)
Rotella T 15w-40, changing out with Amsoil soon for the winter. Coolant-ingress UOA's leading to very short OCI's.

2004 Mazda 3
Halvoline 5w-20, fits warranty spec and shows great UOA and a happy amount of moly.

2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer
Mobil 1 5w-30, just got a great UOA at 7,608 miles, so I'll stick with it.

1999 Pontiac Grand AM
Halvoline 5w-30, never had a UOA but it's one of two oils it's had since it's first change.

Onan generator with Briggs engine - Halvoline 10w-30 Consumes too much to use synthetic oil as it's not completely broken in yet.

Toro lawnmower with Briggs engine - Halvoline straight 30 Will get a HDEO 15w-40 for next season.

I have just realized that every single engine has a different oil.

I need to do my rear end and tranny as they have about 60K and the shifting is tough perhaps because
I went through those floods last year and this year
on that fluid....

But serious, what's killing you?
Do you have a rack?
