My recent acquisition
1995 Geo Prizm with 1.8L 7AFE engine w/Manual trans. has Mobil 1 5w30, but my next OCI when it reaches 5,000 miles(which will be 2,000 miles or about 6 weeks from now) will be Mobil 1 15w50 simply as an oil consumption and wear comparison and then it will be an HDEO after that.

Havoline 5w 40 in the engine... looks light brown but smears black on the paper

Will pour ACDelco 10w 30 shortly, if needed will be topped off with straight 30 API SF Shell X100.

Castrol SLX 0w 30 will wait in the house.

'03 Hyundai V6 at 19,000 miles - Rippy-Off Recycled 75W-90 gear oil purchased from some guy with a pushcart, a supplemental dose of 32 ounces of #3 carbide grit as a final break-in aid, and an old FRAM oil filter "adjusted" through 3 OCIs' continuous use to operate in full bypass mode. Engine runs great, though I have noticed recently I have to play the audio system moderately louder to drown out a mysterious grinding noise. (Almost got creamed by an ambulance last week - aren't those morons supposed to use their sirens on an emergency call?)
