What's a good cleaner wax?

"Agressive cutting action" sounds like something you would use once on a car you are getting ready to sell. Or an abused car you bought and are cleaning up in preparation of giving it proper care.

I don't know what to tell ya. I tend to hit a lot of detailing forums and a lot of people suggest it. I'm sure if it was too aggressive people wouldn't use it, let alone, suggest it.

#66 is good if your car is a bit neglected and you need something with "bite" but only want to use one product. Best thing about #66 is it's formulated for either hand, orbital or rotary polisher use. Plus you can buy it in pint, quart and gallon sizes. Great for pro detailer production work, where you've gotta knock out a lot of not-so-pristine cars.

If you're just gonna work by hand, consider Meguiar's ColorX instead. The end result will be about the same but ColorX is made for hand use. Plus it's available at most parts stores in smaller sizes.

i second this. easy to get, reasonably priced, and easy application and removal. it has a nice appearance and provides good protection.

i use it a couple times a year (with applications of mothers synwax the rest of the time.)

Typically use Zaino, but I now need a good cleaner wax and Zaino isn't one. My wife's van is covered with little fly poop specs that won't wash off, so I need a good cleaner wax to remove it. Any suggestions? I've been thinking about trying Zymol.

Why not use Zaino Z-PC paint cleaner and follow with Z-2?
Both are very easy to use.

Probably because I didn't know anything about it. Sounds like it'll do exactly what I need though. I need to order some ZFX and Z-2 anyway, might as well try this stuff while I'm at it. Thanks.

I like this stuff. I used it on my truck the last time I waxed it. It removed paint overspray, so I guess the cleaner part of it does work.

I can't speak for its abilities as a wax since I put a coat of Meguires Gold Class over it (I, like others here, was convinced that it could do two things well).

I just realized that I made a typo in my post, but I can't edit it now. I meant to say that I was NOT convinced that it could do two things well.
