We had a cleaning lady steal from us. I told my wife my camera was missing but no one believed me. When a piece of my wife's jewelry went missing following the second cleaning, that sealed the deal. My mother who lived with us before she passed, said she noticed her deodorant was missing also. We called her up. Said things are missing. Your services are no longer required. The more you let it slide, the bigger the thefts will be.

We have new people. They are great.

That's a bit strange, IMHO.

You have got to fire the cleaning lady immediately! Let local LEO know about your suspicions and have them run her name through the system to see if she has priors or warrants. Regardless of their findings, fire the cleaning lady immediately!

She will continue to steal things from your moms home, and the situation has a strong possibility of getting much worse. The cleaning lady and her friend could pay mom an after hours visit and really "clean" out moms house.

Cleaning lady has already determined what she will pilfer on her next scheduled visit to moms house. I am sure of it because that's the typical MO for these type of people.

Years ago way back in the day I worked a lot of overtime at my skilled trades job. Being single and not really enjoying cleaning my house on what little bit of time I had off, I hired a cleaning lady. She did a pretty good job and was quite attractive. I started dating her, and one thing led to another. Next thing you know, her cleaning dropped way off and she got kind of sloppy. Started bringing her 16 year old daughter over to help out and basically, it all turned to [censored]. Lesson learned. I next hired an older more mature married woman and she did an excellent job. No trouble with stealing, good work, showed up on time. Had her for several years until I moved.

This won't work.

1) you don't have "proof" and she can be the first to call the dept of Labor and narc on you. Then later in court filings she'll have the first date recorded for the drama.

2) in her narcissistic mind, she isn't getting paid enough, and you're rich and won't miss a couple baubles. So if you dock her more, she'll take even more, to "show you."

Just can her and make a police report.
