We bought wings at Costco. My wife marinated them, and today I deep fried them.

I noticed some unidentified protein, to tell you the truth looked like a fish filet.

What would you do? Throw everything out? All the fresh oil? Fry it anyway and see what it is?

I did the last option.

When I bit into it, it tasted like chicken breast. Or some sort of large rodent. 😂

The unknown piece. Clearly not a wing.

By far most likely to just be a random chuck of chicken... which is better, wings have hardly any meat on them, though the ones pictured look pretty meaty compared to some I've seen.

got chicken at KFC a couple weeks ago. Those folks at corporate should be put in jail for all the baby chickens they are killing for their chicken. IMO Chickencide. Had a drumstick that was 2 1/4 in long, and I ordered white meat. I see KFC gone in a few years, it like Long John's has gone so far downhill it don't think they can recover.

I would probably throw it all out, but the reality is that is probably fine, and likely was just an atypical chunk of chicken

KFC shut down here a couple weeks ago. Good riddance to a place that started out serving good food. If the Colonel saw what was served up in recent years he would have probably killed himself.
Kinda like Friendly’s, the ice cream that I grew up with. There are maybe 3-4 in the Phila metro area. I looked up the menu and there are items $24 and lots at $17. Obviously not a great prices for Friendly’s type fare. Why I thought of them? Wife and I went to a highly rated ice cream shop in our area per Yelp. Unfortunately, when everything was $11-$16 per item, we had to do an about face 😆

I thought that years ago - that he would be rolling in his grave if he saw KFC today. I still cringe at the commercial a few years back with the Colonel in a rap music commercial -just terrible!

That brought back memories of the Friendly's I used to go to in Maryland...and before that we had Farrel's. So many unique places gone now.

That looks 100 percent like fried Rodentia to me. :ROFLMAO:

Cut any 'mystery chunk' into slices -as if by a hard-boiled egg slicer- for a more thorough examination.

We had a small scale farmer in the family a while back and he'd say, "Buy any meat product in its larger or more original form". The idea was to have meat items spend as little time as possible in the plant.

A rat was served in a restaurant in my county. I'll skip identifying the chain nor provide 'cutsie' clues.
I just wonder how QA/QC was pursued / enforced thereafter.

LOL. Best to not think the worst. It's just a weird chicken piece that we didn't eat...

I just buy waffle cones and hudsonville or Tillamook ice cream! Beats going to the ice cream shop.

Many birds come with non-standard fleshy bits. That's my buddy "tumor bird" who often joins me for a sack lunch.

I have a dove nest in my yard beside my front door. It's hidden too well for me to find but a dove will fly out when I get too close and sit nearby. I pretend that I haven't noticed it.

C'mon-my customers have to make enough money to pay me somehow! (Disclaimer-I work on ice cream machines for a lining)
