What was your first front wheel drive car experience?

1977 Honda Accord Hatchback 5 speed, loved the car but there was an issue with the front fenders rusting at the top. Honda replaced them at no cost but the gold metallic paint never matched up correctly🤨

My first FWD car was a 1974 Fiat 128 Sport Coupe. Kind of fun to drive but a real POS with regards to worksmanship and reliability. I didn't own another FWD car until I bought my 2019 Mazda CX 5. Actually, it is an AWD car but only applies power to the rear wheels when it detects wheel slippage in the front wheels. So for 99% of driving conditions it drives like a FWD car. Most of the time it isn't noticeable. But if you make a 90 degree turn from a dead stop and put your foot into it, it does exhibit considerable torque steer. It has the 2.5 liter turbo engine which makes a lot of torque at low RPM's so it's pretty easy to feel the torque steer.

Personally, I don't like FWD cars and would be happy if the manufacturer's reversed the trend and made a lot of their models with RWD again.

My grandmother had a 1972 Cadillac Eldorado which was FWD. It was great for going up icy hills in the winter I recall. It did suffer from transmission issues however.

My least favorite car of all time, the '84 Ford Escort 4-door. Not because of the FWD, but because it was horribly underpowered and stranded me at least once a year for the 7 years I drove and owned it.

My second car - 1991 Toyota Paseo manual shift.
After that, a series of Volkswagen.
My first car was a 1968 Firebird rust bucket.

Brothers 1985 Saab 900 Turbo 16 valve. Fun but odd car in 1987.

My first FWD was 1992 owning a 1988 Jetta GLI 16V(fun car).

Our family fleet in teens was 1985 BMW 318i, 85 Jeep CJ-7, AMC Eagle and GMC Suburban.
