Mine was a 1936 Ford convert. that my Dad and I restored but I never got to drive it much before we had to sell it. After that I got a 1966 Olds 442 muscle car that I will never forget. It was a pleasure just to drive around town and "nail it" as often as I could get away with.

Mine was a 10 year old 1965 mustang. It has been 46 years since it was built and I am still on my fourth car. (I have kept cars until they were 13 years old on average.)

1965 Shelby GT350. White with twin blue stripes. It was a graduation gift from my Dad. I should be beaten for the way I treated that car. If I knew then what I know now, I would have put it in storage. It would now be worth more than my 401K.

I had a 82 Rabbit L Diesel and it was one of my all time favorite cars. Wish I had it now. Talk about fuel economy.

Dad bought me and my younger brother a 1976 Chevy K10 blazer from my uncle for us to share in 1993. I didn't get to drive it much so I got an S-10 blazer with a 2.8l and a 4speed. My brother still has the K10 it is undergoing its 3rd transformation now!

Got my moms old TR-4 for 300.00 from Dad. Equal to my summer savings!

Burnt oil and ran like [censored]. But it was better than walking. I credit Lucas for making me into a good mechanic!

Wow. I don't think anyone's going to top that one. If I'd had a car like that as my first, I might not be alive today to type this message.

My first was a 1980 Mazda B2000 pickup. It was 10 years old at the time, and it carried me an my belongings across the country many times between university and summer. A great little truck..very basic and dependable.

My first car was very forgetable speaking a 1959 Renault 4CV. Had a 3 speed on the floor with a tiny OHV 4cyl motor that put out all of 28 BHP. Like I said, this one was very forgetable.

Mine was an extemely rusted 66 Buick Skylark in 1976. $325.

The gas tank straps rusted and broke while I was on the open highway and the tank (7/8ths full) was skittering along under me connected only by a 3/8ths rubber fuel line. I pulled over, thinking it was the muffler dragging. Boy, was I surprised!

Seems like a year of ownership turns many british car owners into better electrical engineers than those employed by the prince of darkness (Lucas).

My first was a 1978 Mustang II. Blue with the white vinyl top. German made 4 banger and auto tranny.

My Dad bought it for me and when he gave it to me he said, "You will learn two lessons from this car. First, you'll learn how to work on a car, second, you'll learn to never buy another Ford". I can still remember that to this day LOL.

That car was a hunk of junk. I was late to school every other day because I was in the driveway trying to get it to start and working on it. It also burned as much oil as gas. I was buying the cheap recycled oil at Dollar General for $0.50/qt.

Second car was a 1984 Subaru GL-10 with a 5 speed manual. That was a great car! There is no doubt in my mind that if I still had that car, it would still be running today! Sold it to my cousin when I graduated college and moved to California, he totaled it

My first was a 15 year old 1995 Toyota Camry V6 Auto with 200K miles. Car ran like new, even though I beat the [censored] out of it.

Current car (technically the first one I bought) is a '97 Civic with just over 40K miles on the clock. I'm just now learning that old Honda's need thicker oil.

My first car was a 1972 Barracuda, bought used in 1975 for $3200. It had an AT and a 340 engine that would easily smoke the tires. I only had it for a year because I decided to go to college and couldn't afford it anymore, but geez that was a fun car to drive at such a young age. I saw a similar one recently at a car dealership that was selling for a lot more than I paid for mine

A 1985 Buick Skyhawk 4-door sedan I bought in 1994 for $1200 with 61k miles on it. Had a Chev. 2.0L OHV 4-cylinder and auto tranny, 2-tone blue/blue. I thought if I bought an older, cheaper car, I'd save money by being willing to drive a 'beater', as opposed to buying a newer car.

Boy, was I freakin' wrong! I didn't want to be without a car, so I fixed whatever went on it right away. I spent well over $4k in two years keeping it running. Everything that could go on a 10 year-old GM compact, did. I wasted sooooo much money on that car, it makes me sick to think about it!

Black 1975 Ford Granada 302 3spd auto. I put on air shocks, true duel exhaust out the side (one pipe out each side) Mag wheels 70`s up front 60`s on back. Stock motor(did nothin to that). Was not fast by any means, but sharp looking, and sounded great! Was the best/sportiest looking Granada around.
