What viscosity would you get if you mixed a 15w40 HDEO with Lucas oil stabilizer?

I was just thinking back to a few years ago when I had my old 1989 Pontiac 6000. It was about the middle of May, I think, and I was doing an oil change to it. I bought a jug of Rotella T 15w40 plus a bottle of Lucas oil stabilizer. What kinf of tar-like viscosity did I end up creating with that combination?

Do you have the visc # for the Lucas?

If so ..plug them in here.

just plug in a dummie number for the 40° visc. Your VI # will not be correct.

Lucas is 110 Cst at 100C, so with a 40% mix of that and 60% Rotella, I got 31 Cst at 100C

That's WAY over 50 weight.

I did this long before I knew of the problems with Lucas oil stabilizer. I didn't know a thing about oil weights and viscosities and things like that. I only used HDEO and Lucas just the once, although I did use Lucas a few other times in other vehicles, again long before I knew of the problems with it.
