That's a terrible invasive weed. It takes over rangeland, and cattle won't eat it.
I had a summer job spraying knapweed with a herbicide called Tordon. This was in the B.C. interior, Kamloops way up and over to Tatlayoko Lake.
They said knapweed was introduced to Vancouver Island in a dried flower arrangement.
That was a long time ago - I thought that they had since introduced some biological agents that had pretty much eliminated knapweed.
Indiana doesn’t know the difference between invasive and noxious. I’ll leave it at that.
