I agree with everything @RDY4WAR posted except the filter choice, lol.
The XG3600 has basically the same gasket dimensions as well as the same threads as the larger XG8A (the 'ol FL-1A):
I'm not sure if you can get the larger filter in there, BUT, if you can, you have a pretty decent cross-section of synthetic media options from the Heavy Duty scene, such as:
- Donaldson P169071
- Fleetguard LF3487 (I run this on our 351 GT40 in our ski boat, so it winds pretty good) and data from Fleetguard shows it flows 14.27GPM.
So, IF you can use the larger filter, that's what I'd recommend.
