What stereo amplifier/receiver?

Yep. I couldn't even have any equipment in the living room. This is in my office.
A good, high-current ~30-50w amp would be perfect. The Klipsch’s are tiny overachievers. I say find a well-refreshed Harmon/Kardon HK430 TwinPowered receiver. Get all your fancy stuff in a preamp like a Wiim Ultra, and feed it into the HK. What you lose in convenience you’ll definitely recover in sound quality and presence.

I hope your Marantz comes back better than ever.

This thread has taken me down memory lane. Over the years I've had many different pieces, but now mostly use the tv's soundbar. My hearing aids just don't have the fidelity necessary to enjoy music in the same way as when younger.

Some of the pieces I've had: Rega turntable, JBL L100s, Dynaco PAT-5 by Van Alstine, Nakamichi power amp, Sonus Faber speakers, other pieces of Audio by Van Alstine, Rel subwoofer, and so much more.

Are you saying they’re cheapening Mac? From what I read, Bose is intending on being mostly hands-off. Besides, I didn’t mean the new stuff. I’ve been eyeing some fully-refurbed original MC275, or maybe something like an MC2500.

There are lots of music that just doesn’t sound the same through class D amps. I want presence and power, and maybe a pretty space heater all in the same package! 🤣
Well they already laid off several reps that they originally said they were going to keep. Mac has had great vintage service, waiting to see what they do with that side of the business.

I’m a big fan of a/b amps as well. That said, the Wyred 4 Sound monoblocks are about as legit as they come. I have a pair on some transmission line Speaker Art Clef Jr’s. Couldn’t ask for more out of them. Made in USA as well
